Review: The first song off “The Slip” is a trippy instrumental intro titled 999,999, which ends with the words “What did I slip into?”. The next track, titled 1,000,000 has a more traditional Nine Inch Nails rock sound that should satisfy existing fans. The album is not for the weak-kneed; there is consistent heart thumping and other loud and scary sounds! But to the NIN faithful, “The Slip” is no disappointment. The first track off “The Slip” that you can clearly hear vocals on is Discipline, a more toned down track and worthy of a listen. Make sure to hear Lights In The Sky, which has a slow creeping piano sound that will get the hairs on the back of your neck to stand up. Check out the crazy instrumental track Corona Radiate. Don’t sleep on The Four Of Us Are Dying instrumental either or the Demon Seed track.
