Review: It’s been a minute since we brought you a White Owl mixtape review but with “Drop That 45″ DJ White Owl brings you new music from Lil Wayne, Cassidy, Jadakiss, Jay-Z, Styles P, Buta Rhymes and many more and there are more than a few tracks we had to call out! This tape is packed with 25 tracks and 7 bonus blends for your listening enjoyment. Jay-Z’s Lick A Shot 4 Biggie is a real heavy tribute to the late great King of NY. Asher Roth’s The Crown is a tight jam that sounds like vintage Eminem. The full version of Lil Wayne & Junior Reid’s Ghetto Youth’s is on the tape which is an older but still bangin’ track. Jada and Styles P both contribute hot freestyles and Uncle Murda, Tru Life and Memphis Bleek drop the Rachel Ray-inspired joint The Recipe, which features clever audio snippets from Rachel’s cooking show. Listen to Maino’s Jockin My Fresh, The Game’s Let Em’ Know and T.I., Busta and Reek Da Villian’s We Rollin but be careful if you download the torrent because the tracks on the tape got scrambled and the track names stop matching the songs about half-way through the tape… so if Maino sounds suspiciously like T.I. or The Game just know that you arent losing your mind… well, you could be but its unrelated to the tape! Lil Wayne and The Game’s Red Magic is also on the tape and if you haven’t heard it by now its a jam to check for. Other artists appearing on the tape include Kanye West, Spider Loc, Lil Kim, Shawty Lo, Mobb Deep and many more. DJ White Owl always shows love to independents on the underground grind so check for some serious up-and-coming heaters to.
